Simply the best NZ podcast I’ve ever listened to.
Where to start? The incredible adventurous spirit of hunters, early environmentalism to protect forests, working in remote, inhospitable places before mass communication and the tenacity of people who can bushbash, sleep rough and live off the land around them.
This podcast series is splendid in every respect, it is well narrated and the stories we hear are captivating. An amazing insight to a slice of NZ history, I knew very little about. The money these hunters chased, the sacrifices and hardships endured by the men, women, and families speak to the good and bad we humans are capable of when the stars align and opportunity presents…..
A good insight into a piece of NZ history. Great work interviewing and telling the stories of those involved.
A great series, thrilling listen with equally informative and entertaining stories!
