I appreciate the sheer amount of content that I can sit through since I listen to a lot of podcasts, but the rotating co-hosts can be either fine or annoying to listen to depending on who it is. Slightly harshly worded, but I still like listening to most of them.
What drew me to Deep Listens is how they handle their bigger games. Instead of having a number of episodes in a row deal with the same large game, they take breaks and revisit their progress every so often. For example their series on Final Fantasy XII started in September of 2018 and they've had two episodes on it since. Meanwhile they discuss all sorts of other games and they're often pretty insightful and explain their feelings and thoughts on games pretty entertainingly. more
You know you can trust Gino as he's down on Super Mario Sunshine.
The analysis is super interesting and the hosts are hilarious! Definitely a worthwhile listen!
I've been extremely impressed with this show so far, and I really hope it continues. I pretty much listen to every episode the day it comes out
