Such a fascinating case, slowly and grippingly laid before the audience‘s ears. Inexplicably, outside of Norway the case of the Isdal Woman seems to be quite unknown. So many curious details, but somehow, every time it seems to all make sense, there‘s that one puzzle piece that doesn’t fit. Harrowing and mesmerizing.
I really like podcasts where you have various voices and not just one. This one is really well done.
Recording conversations outside with ambient sound does two unfortunate things: makes the conversation harder to understand (especially when listening to thick Norwegian accents) and draws one's attention away from the content, which is a genuinely fascinating mystery. On top of that, the evidence is presented in such a haphazard way - glossing over details, and returning to them many episodes later. It's hard to follow.
