The night before Halloween 1975, 15-year-old Martha Moxley was found bludgeoned to death outside her family’s home in the tony Greenwich, Connecticut, enclave of Belle Haven. The local police, used to dealing more with traffic stops than a high-profile murder, grappled with a lack of forensic evidence – or a motive. They had their suspects of course. The creepy neighbor. The eldest teenage son of ... more

So many hours of nonsense. I can’t believe I (sort of) made it to the end. The “twists and turns” are ridiculous. Every single “twist” you “won’t believe” is a nothing burger that this guy pretends is dramatic.
I remember this case as a young boy, but I had no idea about all the details, all the suspects and intrigue. Andrew Goldman does a masterful job of keeping everything straight and delaying it all in a coherent manner and even dolling it out in a manner that heightens the suspense and drama. Definitely binge worthy if you like true crime.
Simply one of the best voiced and investigated podcasts I’ve had the pleasure to listen to. The sheer breadth of interviews and eloquent and engaging commentary in addition to interviews has left me hoping for more from Goldman and desire to read everything available regarding the Moxley case.
He repeats the same things over and over again for 12 hours. Would have stopped earlier but really hoped there might be a revelation. Same facts, stories, people for the something. Obviously biased towards Michael. Tries to create drama but often sounds like someone who is working really hard to make this something more than it is. One whole episodes talking about the Kennedy family history which has literally no bearing on anything.
It’s been a minute since I have had a chance to enjoy old school, balanced storytelling like this. Extremely well done — had me hanging on every episode. Like a breath of fresh air to enjoy real investigative journalism!
