  • Simply the best!

The best DCL podcast around! Sam and Brian are personable, well versed on all things DCL and so enjoyable to listen to. I appreciate that they are non biased (with a little bit of Sam’s sass and judgement), family oriented and interview a wide variety of guests. Their advice and tips have helped me so much, especially as a newbie navigating the DCL world. So thankful for this podcast! You are simply the best!

  • Stick to your knitting

You have just lost a long time listener. How dare you comment on JK Rowling’s views on transgender issues on a DCL podcast. She’s “reprehensible”? Who are you to make that pronouncement. Privileged person who has never had to make use of a woman’s shelter. Have you even read all of her views? This is not the place for this type of comment. It’s a shame because I’ll miss your relevant content. I guess it’s the DCL dude for me from now on.

  • Favorite Way to Fill the DCL Void!

Listening to DCLDuo helps me fill the gap between cruises when I’m missing DCL! I’ve learned so much listening (even after 8 cruises)! And it makes my boring drive fun and quick! Sam and Brian are funny, honest and I love rapid fire!! You can hear their passion for DCL in every episode, even when things don’t go as expected! I look forward to new episodes and have started watching on YouTube!

Ep. 665 - Disney Dream Review: Multi-Gen Spring Break Family Cruise
Q: What were first impressions of the Dream compared to the Wish, especially for first-time cruisers in the family?
The Dream felt more intimate in the atrium with a smaller footprint compared to the Wish, and the layout had differences in crowd flow; overall, the family enjoyed the ship and noted the Dream's unique features, while still preferring the Wish overall.
Ep. 665 - Disney Dream Review: Multi-Gen Spring Break Family Cruise
Q: How did you manage the cabin setup for a large group and any issues with connecting rooms?
They opted for a deluxe family veranda with three connected verandas (three rooms) to enable easy family access while keeping some privacy, and they planned to split costs per person; a caveat about interconnecting logistics and adding first-time cruisers to the booking was noted.
Ep. 665 - Disney Dream Review: Multi-Gen Spring Break Family Cruise
Q: What were the main pre-bookings and how did you handle pre-cruise planning for excursions and dining?
They used a travel advisor for bookings, then Philip guided the group with preferences; Palo brunch was booked for the sea day, and two drink tastings were arranged for some family members, with others joined later.
Ep. 665 - Disney Dream Review: Multi-Gen Spring Break Family Cruise
Q: Tell me about how the trip came together and why the Disney Dream was chosen.
Philip explains the plan started with the parents wanting to take the family; after some room-booking issues for a Roomba (vacation home) trip, they pivoted to a Disney Cruise with Disney Dream due to timing, availability, and a desire to try a different ship class from their previous Wish experience.
Ep. 666 - Live Bonus Show - Disney Wonder Alaska Trip Report: Glaciers, Sled Dogs & Lobster Night
Q: You get on at Canada Place. How is the embarkation and boarding process— is it smooth sailing given multiple ships boarding from the same terminal?
Embarkation went smoothly with facial recognition-style checks; the main hiccup was navigating several ships boarding simultaneously, but the process still moved quickly and efficiently.
