The calmness of the GM/DM when narrating is amazing. It comes off as true unbiased narration that’s descriptive enough to completely consume you.
Getting worse. Lots of stupid in game advertising and indeed unnecessary meta gaming (thought the point was to remove commentary on rolls).
One of the best podcasts out there only sad they don't make them faster or more often.
It took a bit to get used to the format as it's different from typical dnd podcasts, but I got absorbed into the story and could not stop listening. Also the soundtrack is killer and I could listen to it on repeat all the time
There are a few things I really like: good production quality, good acting, and I love the blend of tabletop activity & post-scripted narration. I wish I were more of a straight horror fan, however, which is likely who the show is truly aimed at. So it ends up a little blah for me sometimes, a little too much horror/gore, but it’s a mostly satisfying podcast.
