Great conversations about movies and pop culture.
Hector and Todd seem to be taking a break which is a real shame.
A podcast where the hosts provide absolutely no substance to any of the discussions they engage in. They do laugh a lot though, so much so that it's annoying in a an ungodly fashion. I wanted more than two guys cracking jokes and never saying more than, "yeah, he was good and she was bad." I wanted a podcast that wasn't so darn vacuous.
This is a podcast really only best listened to by friends of these guys. I too went here because Filmspotting mentioned it, but is is overloaded with "what I did this weekend" stuff and random off putting skits. The production values are non-existent.
Great Podcast. Hector Wolfcastle and Todd Grimes have great chemistry and as for the people complaining they giggle and banter too much, that's the fun part. Todd's dry humor keeps me rolling in the lulz. Put from podcast 1 to now up. I want to listen to them.
I downloaded because it was mentioned on Filmspotting. Tried listening to episode 37 and couldn't get through it. It could be good if they didn't giggle so much and say "yeah yeah yeah" over and over again. Hearing someone saying "yeah yeah yeah" that often makes me want to claw my ears off.
I can't hear this podcast when listened through headphones on my commute. Don't have the problem with any other podcast. Content sounds great, wish I could hear it.
I don't listen to podcasts too often, especially ones based on movies. Mainly because they are hosted by pretentious losers who think I watch bad films. I don't. These guys know that. I love TV and comic books. These guys know that. I like hosts who speak like people and not like textbooks. Hector and Todd are those guys. They are laugh out loud hilarious and know their stuff. If you love cheesy action films, tell them about it and they'll talk about it. Definitely listen if you want to hear a g... more
They would in fact be the Gods of the entire world except they are Boston fans. So until they move to somewhere more respectable they are just relegated to local Godness. Seriously, listen to them. One guy is called Hexagon ... on purpose.
This pod cast rocks. If you love movies, love tv, love all things pop culture this is the cast for you. Hector and Todd are great together. There is one big plus as well, at the end of every show they introduce you new music. The one thing that I would like to see are episodes 1-19 on Itunes. Great show guys. Keep rocking it out.
I love the dangerous:memories podcast. Of the few podcasts that I'm subscribed to, this is the only movie one that's worth listening to. It's about time someone took a good, hard look at the AFI list and tried to figure out how it got the way it is. Hector and Todd have a unique chemistry that makes their show enjoyable where so many shows fall flat.
easy to listen to reviews of the AFI top 100 and movies in general, i hope they keep it up after
i never really listened to podcasts but i just subscribed and started listening from episode 4 and this stuff is hilarious it really is and it gets deep at times i've never thought of movies the way these guys describe them. i highly recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to listen to a couple of regular guys who really know a lot about movies and give great reviews. roeper and ebert move over cause theres a couple new sheriffs in town
These guys are on point. Cool concept reviewing AFI top 100. Actually they kind of remind me of "Scene Unscene" a little. I can't wait to see how their podcast develops over time... Todd has got explain the Superman fetish though?
Are you a movie lover? Do you find yourself criticizing movies while you watch them? If so...THIS IS IT!!! Todd and Hector know what they are talking about. They have been spot on with reviews on almost EVERY movie they review. They are counting down the AFI top 100 moviews of all time. EXCITING STUFF!!! Counting down to the number 1 movie. If you havent subscribed to THIS podcast....NOW is the time! Don't delay any longer! 5 Stars all the way! Keep up the good work guys. Fan from ... more
Based on many other podcasts about movies, and having personal spite, I wanted to hate this show...but I just can't. The critiques and analysis of the material expressed in this podcast are truely enjoyable as well as an updated format. Staying on point is exactly what these two gentleman do and it's an enjoyable time to listen to. The AFI is designed to tell viewers whats worth watching. I can honestly say that listening to Hector and Todd talk more about them only increases my interest in th... more
