Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Kiriko Mechanicus
Q: What do you think will make this a good film?
I hope that this film can offer a sense of hope, because magicians have this sense of showing something unknown, which is exactly what we need to explore today.
Kiriko Mechanicus
Q: Do you think his actions can be described as hate crimes?
I think it is a hate crime. I think it's also partially some form of psychosis that he was in, or really an illness that made him lose his mind.
Kiriko Mechanicus
Q: What was so fascinating to you about the crimes that took place?
It felt personal to me because I am Asian myself, and I realized when I had read about this incident that it somehow also felt as if I was part of his sick desire.
Sjoerd Scott
Q: What's your plan for 2026?
He wants to go on a tour, more festivals, and develop his comedy further while building connections in other countries.
Sjoerd Scott
Q: At what point did you take that and turn that into a comedy career?
He realized his comedic energy came from experiences, influenced by growing up watching stand-up on YouTube and participating in school competitions.
