  • Daily Detroit

I expected DD to present the view from corporate HQ, but I was pleasantly surprised. They told the truth that Michiganders want corporate money out of politics and that’s why we want Dr Abdul El Sayed. We’ve already tried Senators beholden to DTE or AIPAC. Let’s try a senator who will actually represent us

  • For everyone who loves Detroit

I’ve been a regular listener for two years since I returned to Detroit and I’ve dropped by a couple of times for events. I’m no doubt forever a Phez-Head!

First of all the 20min average is exactly right for a commute or a morning coffee and it’s a perfect digest of what is happening in the city. Jer, Norris, and Devon are great humans, gifted journalists, urbanists, and citizens. (and Phezzy too)

There’s a lot of heart in these talks and whenever Jer signs off - I get a little misty. Detroit ... more

I used to listen until you started showcasing people like Mallory McMorrow and giving her softball questions. It’s a joke. Look at her voting record. She is a fraud.

Q: So what does the state spend a lot of its money on?
The budget allocates significant funding to education (K-12 and higher education), with a 2.5% per-pupil increase and a new automatic weighted funding formula for disadvantaged and English learner students, while also maintaining core local government and transit funding at levels intended to avoid cuts, though not necessarily delivering transformative increases.
