  • Damo Bias

Good show but Damo’s hate and bias against Nick daicos is unmatched, when Damo talks it seems like he is barely top 25 players in the comp in his opinion and his 25 ranking probably looks like this:

Bont, JCameron, Jackson, Darcy, Serong, Pickett, Murphy Reid, Nick Watson

  • Language feedback

I’m a regular listener and really enjoy the podcast, but I wanted to share one piece of feedback. The word “hate” seems to come up quite a lot when talking about opponents or rival teams. I understand that rivalry and passion are central to AFL, but “hate” is a very strong word and, given the tone of public discourse these days, it feels unnecessary in the context of sport.

Rivalries, competitiveness and even strong dislike are all part of footy, but framing them as “hate” can unintentionally no... more

  • VFL Media

All they care about is protecting traditional states and more importantly VFL.

They say they want fairness. But ignore the money in traditional state grassroots, the always home GF, never travel, no home advantage but no away disadvantage.

The media actively shopping for northern club stars to “come home”.

Remind me Giants haven’t havent had a top 10 since 2019 academy. But the lies number 1 f/s is fair?

You have no idea about a fair comp or a national one.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lions roaring again, a GIANT problem and is Richmond a destination club?
Q: Do you agree that Richmond can still be a destination club given their current win-loss record?
No. The panel argues that nine wins from 60 games under Adam Uze isn't sellable as a destination club, and that rebuilding decisions have long-term consequences beyond short-term gains.
Story behind the story: Reid all about Harley
Q: What changes did Reid make to his training and preparation that helped him transition into a career-best season?
The conversation covers Reid training differently in the pre-season, focusing on power athlete development and leadership responsibilities, with input from teammates and coaches.
Story behind the story: Reid all about Harley
Q: When did you first hear of Harley Reid and how did the hype begin for you as a journalist?
Cal Twomey explains the emergence of Reid in Bendigo Pioneers' games and the early attention Reid drew as a potential top draft pick, shaping the storyline he followed through the draft year.
Story behind the story: Why Shai Bolton is one of the most watchable players in the game
Q: What factors are driving Shai Bolton's stellar season in 2026?
Bolton's improvement is anchored in his off-field stability, his transition to a midfield-forward balance, and his fit within Fremantle's structure, which has unlocked his best footy while allowing him to deliver high-impact performances week after week.
Damo on how Voss interview came to be, and which Lion does Mullin go to?
Q: What are your thoughts on the broader implications of a coach not doing a traditional press conference?
The discussion centers on the unusual nature of the absence of a press conference and the alternatives of one-on-one interviews as a more controlled environment for candid responses.
