芝加哥交響中心位於芝加哥南密西根大道，是芝加哥交響樂團的駐團音樂廳，是一個包含2522個座位的音樂廳。這座建築於1904年落成，以絕佳的音響效果著稱。這一集《大叔聊古典》我們邀請了長年在芝加哥任教的兩位愛樂者夫婦，皆為印第安納大學布魯明頓校區歷史系副教授的王飛仙與夏克勤到節目裡，與我們分享他們在過去十幾二十年於芝加哥交響中心，以及他們任教的印第安納大學，有那些精彩的聆樂經驗，他們看著芝加哥交響樂團的變化，而歷代指揮們的更迭則分別為芝加哥交響樂團留下了什麼。
