  • Fearing God is something I struggle with

It’s easy to accept the idea that all we have is on this earth. I’ve always needed tangible things. As someone who struggles to have balance, a healthy fear of God is also a hard idea to wrap my head around. The episode of wisdom being a women which I confess I listened to because I thought women would have “more merit” than men was truly helpful as I search myself. Thank you to Kaitlyn & Mike for their light but rhetoric🤍

  • Please bring back guest theologians

Please please bring back guest theologians. The diversity of perspectives and backgrounds added so much depth and really challenged me to think in different ways.

Kaitlyn is incredibly gifted and thoughtful, and one of my favorite parts was hearing her draw out insights from guests through her questions. I really miss that dynamic.

Even if it’s once a month, plzzz bring back guests 🙏

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why does Jesus pray if he's God?
Q: Was Jesus praying to himself in the garden?
No, He was addressing the Father while He, as God the Son, relates within the Trinitarian life and through the Spirit's involvement, illustrating ongoing relational communication within the Trinity that has always been true.
Why does Jesus pray if he's God?
Q: Why does Jesus have to pray if he is God?
Because in Christ there are two natures and two wills—divine and human. His human will can desire something different from the divine will, but He models faithful submission by praying, 'not as I will, but as you will.'
When Jesus was a baby, did he know everything?
Q: Did Jesus know everything when he was a baby?
No, the discussion argues that while Jesus is fully God, he grew in wisdom and understanding as a human, and there isn't a moment in scripture that clearly proves he knew everything from birth; the hypostatic union explains how he possessed both full humanity and full divinity without reducing either nature.
Freewill, predestination, or both?
Q: What should I do to get started in the Bible?
Start wherever you're currently reading in the Bible and ask questions about who God is and how He acts.
Why do we bow our heads when we pray?
Q: Why do we bow our heads when we pray when God is not standing in front of us?
We bow our heads to remind ourselves and each other that God is with us, that God is greater than us, and that we need God.
