  • No Cole Wright

It’s Anthony Rizzo Day and the podcast about it is Cubs Postgame Live? How about Alex Cohen, Andy Martinez or even Tom Prizeman? I watch all the games and never watch pre- or postgame because I quickly tire of Cole’s schtick of catch phrases and nicknames. You can do better -please do. Don’t use Lance being off to be lame. If you want to do a daily podcast, commit to it.

  • More game talk please

I appreciate the analysis Lance does but I miss the chat about the players and actual games. A daily show should be able to spend at least a few minutes on that. Two of the Mets games weren’t on Marquee, Horton debuts and you use prerecorded content? Lazy and lame.

  • Boring

If you ever have trouble sleeping, put these two on and you’ll be out within minutes. These two have no energy, no personality, no passion for the team they are covering.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jon Sciambi Interview
Q: What offensive metric would you point to as predicate of success for a team, and what should a pitcher be evaluated on to judge their effectiveness?
On-base percentage remains foundational because getting batters on base is the objective behind most offensive success, while for pitchers, walks, strikeouts, and home runs allowed are the controllable elements to monitor, with defensive context also influencing how those stats play out.
Jon Sciambi Interview
Q: Okay. So my question for you is, why can this Cubs team be different than all other teams? What's the X factor there for them?
There isn't a single X factor; if anything, a combination of elite offense, strong defense, and players increasing in performance — possibly accelerated by how Moe has developed into a big-league contributor — could make this group special, with luck and some overperformance helping too.
Cade Horton injury fallout for Cubs; Cole Wright pays us a visit
Q: What are your thoughts on the Cubs' rotation depth with Horton out?
The Cubs have depth with Assad, Rea, and others, and the decision may hinge on whether to give opportunities to internal options or bring in external help later in the season.
Alex Bregman exclusive interview; Alex and Lance debut Marquee's new Cubs podcast
Q: How has his preparation evolved from 2016 to 2026?
He notes the mix of physical conditioning for a longer season, ongoing mental preparation, and the shift toward helping teammates with game plans, leveraging experience to mentor others while staying competitive.
Alex Bregman exclusive interview; Alex and Lance debut Marquee's new Cubs podcast
Q: What is next for Alex Bregman after this point, and what is the schedule ramp-up into spring training, WBC, and the season?
Bregman explains he is already ramped up athletically and throwing-wise, plans to return to Arizona to finish off the offseason, then join the Cubs in spring training with the World Baseball Classic on the horizon, and looks forward to contributing at a high level for the Cubs as the season begins.
