  • Best debate show

I love this show, apart from the wasted fun question at the end, it’s a really good debate and Iain controls and is fair with the chance to answer questions for each panelist.

Absolutely shambolic episode. Poorly managed and out of control. Just a shouting match.

  • Too much of same

Rarely enough balance in this . Where are business people or commentators to inform or challenge to orthodoxy ? Same bland “rent a panel” of commentators often ill informed on key issues of day and second rate MPs too often with occasional interesting voice but all too rare

Love the guests and the style of the podcast. Iain Dale is fair, but he doesn't let guests spin, he checks them as they are talking.

Q: Should young Brits be expected to sign up for national service and defend the country?
The panelists discuss the implications of conscription, with Charlotte Nichols expressing hope that it never becomes necessary, while emphasizing that young people should be encouraged to join the armed forces in a voluntary capacity and that the country must prepare them for potential threats.
Richard Holden, Tony Vaughan, Salma Shah & Polly Toynbee
Q: Are they just warmongering and trying to justify their own huge taxpayer-funded salaries?
The panel argues that these threats from Russia are real and that UK public servants are genuinely concerned about national security, rather than seeking to stoke conflict out of self-interest.
Richard Holden, Tony Vaughan, Salma Shah & Polly Toynbee
Q: Is the upcoming juniors doctor strike going to have a negative effect on the way we see the future consultants of years to come?
The panel believes the strike could exacerbate existing issues in the NHS and may project a negative image of future consultants, suggesting doctors are unaware of public sentiment.
