  • Too much waffle

Wish they would just get on with it and discuss the topic you’re wanting to listen they go off on too many tangents about irrelevant things. Episodes could be half the length. I want to listen to info on the topic not the girls giggling and trying to out funny or out woke each other.

  • I just want the story, not banter.

The banter was so cringe and the language was so completely unnecessary. I just want to hear true crime, not the f word 10 times within a minute and a half...

  • One of my go to podcasts

I stumbled upon this podcast over a year ago through the true crime grapevine and I think I’ve listened to just about every episode now. The hosts do their research and are careful to be accurate. If they do make a mistake they follow up and correct it on one of the next episodes. I saw a previous review mention there’s a lot of banter in the beginning of the episodes and I don’t find that to be true at all. In fact they seem to start the episode waaaay quicker than most other podcasts I’ve lis... more

  • True crime go-to!

My partner and I love this podcast and all the time, work, and energy the awesome hosts clearly put into it. Banter, updates, etc. is balanced really nicely with the topic of the episode, and the hosts manage moving from lighter chats into difficult conversations around a case gracefully. I also appreciate that this podcast is a lot more respectful towards victims than others I’ve heard in the way that their identities are honored. On the uncommon occurrence of an error in the info, they’re very... more

  • Not like other true crime pods

I’ve been listening for years and really enjoy it. If you ask me there should be more banter. In fact, make it twice as long with so much banter. ;)

But seriously, I like that it’s not a dramatic retelling of events and I think the banter keeps it up beat and helps serve as a pause or break on the heavier episodes. Anti-banter people can go listen to something else.

339 - The Murder of Anne Marie Fahey
Q: What was found in Anne Marie's diary?
The diary was filled with secrets from the past two years because since 1994, she had been documenting her affair with a married man whom she never named by his full name, until she emphasized in an entry dated April 7th, 1996, that she had finally brought closure to Tom Capano, describing him as a controlling, manipulative, insecure, jealous maniac.
339 - The Murder of Anne Marie Fahey
Q: So buckle up, buttercup, set the scene. It's June 30th, 1996, Kathleen Fahey and her sister Anne Marie's boyfriend, a young baker named Michael Scanlon, went to Anne Marie Fahey's third-floor walk-up apartment because they had not seen her in three days. What do we find there?
Inside her apartment was in complete disarray. Shoe boxes were thrown all over the place. Dry cleaning bags had been ripped open. And there were rotting fruits and vegetables in the kitchen.
339 - The Murder of Anne Marie Fahey
Q: Are you familiar with either of these names?
I've never heard these names.
354 - Who We'd Cast: Part 2
Q: What about Paul Bernardo?
For Paul Bernardo, I think Glenn Powell would do a great job with his punchable face.
354 - Who We'd Cast: Part 2
Q: Who is the person that you're casting?
I am casting Nicole Brown Simpson, and I think the best person to play her is Betty Gilpin.
