  • Worth a listen

I like this podcast because it not only knocks down the bad guys- the criminals of the world but has stories from real activists on the ground and how I can get involved and support the causes that need attention.

  • Why do you have Kagilitsky on?

If he's a legitimate Russian dissenter, why does he say the Ukraine war is presented as Russia vs "the world"? It's the US and its NATO subservient "allies", who are using Ukraine to fight Russia, not "the world". Govts representing the majority of the world's population have not cut ties with Russia, e.g. India, which is buying more Russian energy than before the war. China is also, and those are the 2 biggest populations in the world. The US population is deluged with anti-Russia and anti-China... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

No Option But Sabotage w/ Thomas Zeitzoff
Q: What prompted you to research and write about this topic?
Zeitzoff explains that his interest came from teaching classes on political violence and terrorism, plus the surprising connections between environmental militancy, government responses, and activist strategies, which led him to examine how radical environmental actions fit within broader political violence debates.
The Illegal War on Iran w/ Yassamine Mather
Q: What about the internal situation in Iran? How is the country handling wartime conditions and protests?
Iran is experiencing a chaotic but resilient internal situation. There are large-scale demonstrations in major cities, with mixed responses—some peaceful, some violent due to various provocations. The mood has shifted as the war persists, with significant civilian casualties and a heightened sense of patriotism among many Iranians, while economic hardship and state responses shape ongoing dynamics.
The Illegal War on Iran w/ Yassamine Mather
Q: Let's just begin with the most basic question of all. We're talking here on March 13th. We're recording. The developments are moving quickly. The basic question, Yassamine, why? Why this war? Why now?
The war did not start with Iran; external actors, especially Israel and the U.S., have been pushing a narrative about Iran's nuclear capability. The timing appears linked to broader regional aims, including destabilizing the Middle East and diverting attention from Gaza, with internal calculations within Iran and allied states contributing to the escalation.
Black History Is for Everyone w/ Brian Jones
Q: How does understanding the Haitian Revolution aid in comprehending Black history in the United States?
The Haitian Revolution offers a powerful counter-narrative to the American Revolution, emphasizing the fight for true freedom and equality.
Black History Is for Everyone w/ Brian Jones
Q: Can you talk a little about the chapter on education and the connection of Black History with American history?
The chapter illustrates how the struggle for education has always been tied to Black liberation efforts through history.
