Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jim Beaver from Supernatural, Deadwood, The Boys - Episode 1,071
Q: How did you approach the role of Ellsworth in Deadwood?
He describes auditioning with Ellsworth's pilot monologue, recognizing the role as his, and how Milch's writing allowed the character to embody both roughness and heart, aligning with his own instincts and Shakespearean experience.
Jim Beaver from Supernatural, Deadwood, The Boys - Episode 1,071
Q: What was your first break after writing?
The guest explains that a major break came when a director cast him in In Country after meeting his agent, which opened acting opportunities and led to subsequent roles.
Ben Vaughn - Episode 1,060
Q: Exactly. So how did you end up on WXPN and start The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn?
I built a radio foundation through World Cafe and Fresh Air appearances, then syndication in Memphis before transitioning to WXPN, which offered a platform that amplified my eclectic style and created a strong, lasting fan base in Philadelphia.
Ben Vaughn - Episode 1,060
Q: Now, how did you get into producing?
I found my calling when I protected a project in the studio from an overly polished approach, realizing I could shape artists' visions by creating environments that bring out their true talents; this led me to producing records and shaping sounds.
Ben Vaughn - Episode 1,060
Q: Now, how do you define writer's block?
Writer's block, for me, is when you sit down to write and nothing seems good; it's a friction between effort and inspiration, and I've learned I work best when I'm under pressure and trust the process to deliver.
