I often hear phrases such as "God is bigger than the Bible." Today I'm going to explain why I think we should not say this. There is a sense in which it is true, but typically it is used to subtly lower the authority of the Bible. I hope to convince ... more

John is a solid truth speaker. If you are really searching for the truth you can really go deep here. This is not for a wimpy whimsical Christianity, it’s for those who want to go deeper in the truth. Highly recommend.
I really appreciated the episode about making Christianity simple again. For so long I’ve felt like maybe I’m not “doing enough” because I just keep things simple. Thanks for the encouragement!
My husband and I have listened to John Cooper for quite some time now, and have read his first book. He boldly speaks the truth of Scripture, applying it to every day life, dispelling the lies of a post-modern culture while sharing the gospel. His wit also garners laughter and we still regularly use the phrase “woke cookies” thanks to Cooper Stuff.
I fully agree with you. As a Pentecostal I ave sadly seen these things happen at times. It is too easy to hide behind “the Holy Spirit said” that does not line up with Scripture. Keep up the great work!
Great episode Tuesday!
I grew up in the charismatic Church and am not a cessationist, but have seen many abuses in the “charismatic” lane. We all need to hear what the role of the Holy Spirit is in our lives and it isn’t to be wild and crazy in worship! But to convict us and help us grow in Him! Good bless Brother
