John, thank you for addressing the Michael Tait issue. I was not aware of what was going on & I appreciate your heart and how you addressed it. I have to admit that issues like this is why I don’t want to listen to “Christian music“ anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jesus, I love the hymns, & I do like some contemporary Christian songs. In no way am I saying I’m sinless—I am fully aware of my faults & how much I need Jesus & His grace. But I can’t listen to some of the CCM artists, or even man... more
John, thank you! We are so blessed to have you and the Skillet family following hard after Jesus, and staying faithful. I pray for repentance on the part of the Christian Music Industry and the unwavering commitment to uphold God’s Holy standards and minister first and foremost to any victims of sexual abuse by its artists! I hope instead of handing out awards this year, we can take a step back and humble ourselves, and pray for God’s forgiveness and mercy, for all. Love you bro! Thanks for com... more
You are humble but firm and kind and gracious, as you share the truths of the Gospel and apply them to our culture. Specifically the Michael Tait issues and other related issues unaddressed in Christian culture.
As a long time fan of Skillet I got excited to hear the John Cooper has a podcast. Just like Skilliet’s lyrical & instrumental punch are authentic and unapologetic. This podcast is no different. Unfortunately I’m still waiting to catch my first Skillet live show. Until then, keep crushing Cooper Stuff!!!
Thank you for speaking the hard but honest truth! I know this was hard. From one Christian to another, THANK YOU!
