  • Great InsightfulContent, hosts are overly self promotional though.

Really love the interviews and the guests that the CPG guys bring on. It’s amazing what connections they have and how they’re able to get them on the show. They’ve built a solid platform.

My only criticism is that the guys are wayyyy too self promotional (especially ay at the top of the show). They’re allowed to be proud of their work and their families, but it’s too much sometimes.

Keep up the good work and practice some humility 🙂

Dollar General CMO Tony Rogers: CPGGUYS SPECIAL EPISODE 600
Q: What are the big bets for the next 3-5 years?
Continue improving in-store and online experiences, expand delivery and subscription services, scale the DG Media Network with self-serve options, and grow in-store radio and on-site platforms, while deepening community impact through literacy and renovations.
Dollar General CMO Tony Rogers: CPGGUYS SPECIAL EPISODE 600
Q: What metrics matter most for retail media ROI and how do you tie investment to store traffic and loyalty?
ROI is driven by a low CAC and clear ROI signals; investment is allocated where it lowers CAC while boosting lifetime value, using attribution across owned, earned, and paid channels, including on-site and off-site media.
Dollar General CMO Tony Rogers: CPGGUYS SPECIAL EPISODE 600
Q: How does Dollar General balance data-driven decision-making with privacy and a broad shopper base?
Tony explains an ecosystem approach, with 1P data housed in Bridge and activated via the DG Media Network, plus a loyalty flywheel (My DG) to drive deeper loyalty, all backed by careful measurement and open collaboration between marketing and media.
Mondelēz International's VP of Brand Oreo Matt Foley Talks BTS Brand Collaboration
Q: What is the single biggest reality checker or blind spot advice for brand managers looking to modernize partnerships?
Anchor on what your brand adds to the partnership, show up for the consumer, understand the consumer deeply, and accept that big partnerships come with risk and uncertainty; keep returning to the brand's role for the consumer and what excites them to drive engagement.
WK Kellogg Chief Growth Officer Doug VandeVelde On Transforming From Breakfast to Functional Wellness Focus
Q: What old school CPG rules did you have to break to pull off a 2026 Super Bowl campaign?
We challenged the emphasis on short-term media ROI and CPMs, opting for big, high-impact moves with lasting category momentum. We balanced risk with scale by making a big swing that would have a durable effect on consumer behavior and brand equity.
