Confessions (Latin: Confessiones) is the name of an autobiographical work, consisting of 13 books, by St. Augustine of Hippo, written between AD 397 and AD 398. Modern English translations of it are sometimes published under the title The Confessions of St. Augustine in order to distinguish the book from other books with similar titles, such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Confessions.

Sometimes I work late into the night and can’t get to sleep, despite what medication I use. Listening to Augustine’s confessions soon quiets my thoughts as the peace of reflecting on God’s goodness in Augustine’s life descends on me. His peace and adoration for the Trinity shines through this litany of a contrite and broken heart.
The content of Augustine’s Confessions is amazing and being able to listen to it makes it much easier for me to listen to it more often. Only reason it is 4 instead of 5 is that the EQing could be a lot better to get rid of the high buzzing in the mic. Other than that really good!
