    Great podcast!

Just one suggestion: It would be so good to use better microphones.

  • Please fix the audio

Some speakers seem to be recording over a web conference or something; it’s very difficult to hear what’s being said when I’m listening over moderate background noise (fans, dishwasher, etc.). Looking forward to hearing these interesting discussions more clearly in the future.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 23: Cross-stack Design and Tooling for Large-scale Distributed AI Systems with Dr. Tushar Krishna, Georgia Tech
Q: What were the early drivers that pushed you toward co-design across the stack?
Early on, the determinism of workloads and the need to map AI workloads efficiently across tiles and networks forced a broadening of scope, from chip-level interconnects to system-wide data flows and eventually to distributed AI across multiple accelerators.
Ep 18: Codesign for Industrial Robotics and the Startup Pivot with Dr. Dan Sorin, Duke University
Q: How do you see this relating to the kinds of problems that you end up tackling?
Motion planning is foundational to robotics and can apply general insights to various problems across different applications.
Ep 18: Codesign for Industrial Robotics and the Startup Pivot with Dr. Dan Sorin, Duke University
Q: What inspired you to transition from being an academic to being a founder of Realtime Robotics?
It was partly driven by interest in robotics and a lunch discussion that opened up the possibility of addressing a problem in robot motion planning.
Ep 16: Sustainability in a Post-AI World with Dr. Carole-Jean Wu, Meta
Q: What is getting you up in the morning these days?
Dr. Wu expresses her excitement and concern over AI's growth and its energy demands, emphasizing the need for sustainable technology.
