  • A great podcast

I heard about this when I was live streaming the Park Avenue Synagogue services. Listening to Rabbi Cosgrove is a great comfort to me in these challenging times and I’m excited that I can now hear him every week (I’m a remote member, living in Michigan).

Amy Spitalnick on Jewish Safety, Democracy, and the Work of JCPA
Q: Do you believe that there can be a distinction between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism?
In theory, yes. In practice, it's much harder, as there's a significant overlap between those who oppose Israeli policies and those who express anti-Semitic views.
Amy Spitalnick on Jewish Safety, Democracy, and the Work of JCPA
Q: Why does it feel like it's harder now than it was before?
The polarization and the reinforcement of these false choices has only deepened, especially since the October 7th attacks.
Amy Spitalnick on Jewish Safety, Democracy, and the Work of JCPA
Q: Can we have it both? Can we do both walk and chew gum, democracy, and Jewish safety and security all at the same time?
We have no choice but to do both. Not because these two priorities are at odds with each other, but actually because these two priorities are one in the same.
Being Jewish in Public: Jonah Platt on Identity, Advocacy, and Culture
Q: How do you perceive the Jewish representation in entertainment today?
There are issues with misconceptions but also a growing interest and push for authentic Jewish stories.
Being Jewish in Public: Jonah Platt on Identity, Advocacy, and Culture
Q: What was your experience in Jewish advocacy before launching your podcast?
I started doing Jewish advocacy online on a sort of ad hoc basis a number of years before I launched the podcast, speaking about issues related to the Jewish people.
