The host and producers put real care into their research. But their strident approach taints the project. Their aim is to lecture you about the right way to think about involuntary care, not engage with real curiosity about one of the most complicated topics facing our society.
Upon listening more, this isn’t a total failure. The host clearly put time and effort into this. The writing is sharp at times and the story of season 1 is interesting.
This could have used a heavier-handed editor. The cuts of tape go on too long and grow discursive, obscuring any clear point or takeaway.
