  • Lovely stuff

This has become of my favourite podcasts. I don’t follow the college game (I just about get away with Sundays for the NFL!) and don’t have a team, but don’t need one with the brilliant and insightful overview provided each week. Ben and Dom clearly love what they do here and it really comes across. Keep it up chaps! (And Bear Down!)

  • Superb pod

You might not think two English blokes would make for a high quality college football and draft pod, but they do. Top listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

2026 Draft LB & CB Deep Dive!
Q: Charlie, who's your LB3?
My LB3 is Kyle Louie from Pitt, a player who is very twitchy, fast at avoiding blocks, and could become an elite coverage player despite a smaller frame. There's a big drop-off after the top two, but Louie has strong potential in pass coverage and tackling.
NFL QB WTF 2026!
Q: How is Ty Simpson viewed in the Rams' system?
The panel sees Ty Simpson as a developmental project who could benefit from time behind Stafford, with concerns about his ability to read defenses and adapt to NFL-level pressure, potentially spending two to three years developing before a potential starting role.
NFL QB WTF 2026!
Q: What is the overall mood about Mendoza's fit with the Raiders?
Doug and Murfet generally view Mendoza as a strong fit with the Raiders due to his risktaking style and leadership intangibles, with some caveats about how system and coaching changes could influence his trajectory.
2026 Mock Draft 1.0 Part 2!
Q: Dom, where else can people enjoy your draft content?
Dom lists TikTok content, YouTube rankings, and additional mock drafts as key platforms for continued draft coverage.
John Walters Interview Special: What To Expect From Iowa State!
Q: What are your thoughts on the NIL landscape and how Iowa State approaches it with players?
The focus is on taking care of the players within the program and maintaining continuity, rather than paying for big-name talent; the idea is to build a culture where players want to stay and develop over time.
