  • Surprisingly Good Podcast

I have only experienced Keith through his hilarious videos, so I didn’t know what to expect going into this podcast, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Keith is compassionate, pastoral, and thoughtful in his responses, and never inappropriately funny. It should come without saying since he is a pastor, but these days the qualification of “dignified” has little meaning.

  • Informative and entertaining

First off, every time I hear the theme song it reminds me of the opening of an 80s or 90s sitcom. The song could easily be the opening of a sitcom focused around a Calvinist pastor, his family, church staff, and Church members.

I’ve been enjoying the bowtie dialogues. Christian denominations are an interest of mine. They aren’t discussed very much but I think it’s worth getting to know what various denominations believe. I’m glad that this podcast is filling that void.

  • Great Podcast but DROP THE THEME SONG

It’s very good. It covers a great range of topics as well as current events. JUST ONE THING: PLEASE DROP THE INTRO THEME SONG. PLEASE. It’s awful. I know it’s probably supposed to be funny, but it’s really not. Just buy a simple intro soundtrack like everyone else does. Or don’t use anything! Other than that, great podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Remembering Charlie Kirk (and other Q&A)
Q: How should a Christian respond to the assassination of Charlie Kirk?
A Christian should remember to speak out against injustice, recognize the moral authority the church holds, and respond with a sense of righteous anger while avoiding sinfulness.
Is Flat Earth a Theological Issue? (and other questions)
Q: How would you encourage this elder to love his wife well and his daughter?
Be honest with your wife about your concerns and prayerfully consider your position at the church.
Is a Marriage License Required? (& other questions ***LIVE Q&A***)
Q: How do you understand the phrase from the Nicene Creed, 'We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins'?
I can agree with the Nicene Creed in its language, but at the same time, I do believe ontologically we have to make a distinction between the sign and the thing signified.
Is a Marriage License Required? (& other questions ***LIVE Q&A***)
Q: Is it right to have a righteous anger toward people who teach that God owes you your salvation?
Be very careful with your righteous anger, because it'll eat you up. We need to be gracious with those who may have a theology that we consider deficient.
Is a Marriage License Required? (& other questions ***LIVE Q&A***)
Q: Have you ever had stage fright?
Not really. For whatever reason, I have just always wanted to be out in front and it just didn't bother me so much.
