  • Honest, funny, important

Holly’s willingness to be honest, funny and open sets this podcast apart and makes it one of my favorites. She shares a lot of hard won wisdom that is so helpful during these difficult and chaotic times.

Her interviews with guests are more like conversations with really smart, fun, interesting friends than some of the typical podcast interviews out there. Definitely recommend!

After finishing Quit Like A Woman — for the second time— the search was on for further nourishment. Stark, deep, honest, and thankfully here when we need exactly what it offers.

I’ve been following Holly’s work since finding her blog in 2014, when she was fresh in her own recovery and pre-Tempest. I knew she was a brilliant thinker and an important voice in the addiction and recovery space even then, as she was already writing about recovery in a way that no one else was. I love the way she thinks, her willingness to pose difficult questions, and interrogate her own beliefs about the difficulty of living and knowing ourselves in this wild world. I’m so grateful for her ... more

  • 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just finished listening to Holly’s conversation with Carl Erik Fischer, and while I very much can appreciate hearing her process her thoughts, I found myself feeling aggravated by how much more she was speaking than her guest. I really wanted to hear from him much more than I did in the episode.
