Reviews

  • The new format for the morning episode is terrible.

The music is distracting and it sounds like a tabloid magazine. This is not how the news should be presented. I will be skipping the morning episode unless it is fixed.

  • Love the change

Unlike many of these new reviews that I’m seeing, I love the new morning format. I get that people want serious, but womp. What a depressing way to start the day.

I like the music, I like the positive delivery. There’s no false info, still covers real news.

    Love it.

  • New morning format is bad

The new morning format with Kate is bad. The music is distracting and she talks like Tucker Carlson. The old style is much more professional.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

One Thing: After DOGE Cuts, The Government Is Hiring Again. Will Anyone Bite?
Q: Has the Trump administration improved any federal operations, despite the chaos?
There are some improvements in communication with the workforce, particularly via email, but these have often been used to traumatize employees rather than to enhance public service, indicating mixed outcomes with serious long-term costs.
One Thing: After DOGE Cuts, The Government Is Hiring Again. Will Anyone Bite?
Q: What is your reaction to the scale of downsizing and the claim that the government will hire again?
The reaction is that the downsizing has caused lasting harm, morale collapse, and crucial gaps in capability; the push to hire again risks prioritizing loyalty over expertise and could perpetuate a nonperforming, politicized workforce unless coupled with real accountability and reform.
One Thing: Will Epstein Accountability Ever Come to the US?
Q: What has the DOJ said why they took that route?
The DOJ has responded by saying that they had an overwhelming amount of information to process, and mistakes were made in redactions.
One Thing: Will Epstein Accountability Ever Come to the US?
Q: How do you think we should look at this story right now?
We can see the beginning of a long process where survivors realize that the public is starting to understand the gravity of the situation.
One Thing: Will Epstein Accountability Ever Come to the US?
Q: So where does this all go from here? And what do survivors of Epstein's horrific crimes have to say about all this?
Survivors express disbelief and concern that the moment for justice might pass, citing a need for accountability and recognition from institutions.
