  • Excellent resource!

I am a family physician in rural WV and the topics and guests do a great job of keeping me informed of what is going on in the world and our nation and as a Christian, how I can and should respond.

  • Excellent essential podcast for the Christian physician

This podcast provides light, hope and sound science to encourage Christian healthcare workers. It is one of a kind and ESSENTIAL for Christian doctors who feel they are in no man’s land currently as they don’t fit in with secular medicine culture and are also existing outside the all too often anti-science stance of evangelical Christians.

  • Passing Down Truth

Loved the 9/30/21 podcast about leaving a spiritual legacy for your children. My father is a physician and he and my mother definitely have done that and my wife and I are looking to do the same for our children.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dr. Bill Lile on Defending Life Through Science and Scripture
Q: How are your faith and healthcare connected, and what brought you to obstetrics with this perspective?
My faith began in a Christian home and grew through experiences and a calling to reflect God's design in medicine, which naturally led me to obstetrics where I could see life developing and use science to defend the unborn.
Supporting Medical Wives: Building Strong, Christ-Centered Marriages
Q: What advice would you give to medical couples feeling isolated or overwhelmed?
Lean into community, attend events like NatCon to connect with others who understand the life you lead, start with small steps to engage a local chapter or Heart to Heart, and allow God to guide you toward sharing your story and receiving support.
Supporting Medical Wives: Building Strong, Christ-Centered Marriages
Q: How are programs like Healing Rounds and the men's Side by Side group designed to address gaps in support for medical families?
Healing Rounds creates a safe, round-table format to discuss life at home and in residency, while the new men's virtual Side by Side group addresses a growing need for male physicians' spouses to find community, recognizing different societal expectations and providing targeted connections.
Supporting Medical Wives: Building Strong, Christ-Centered Marriages
Q: What role does mentoring play in Side by Side today and how is it being fleshed out across chapters?
Mentoring is a central driver, expanding from one-on-one to broader group settings, with elder women and leaders like Dr. Eileen sharing experiences across Tampa chapters and beyond, and a new Love Made Visible initiative to pair seasoned mentors with younger participants, creating structured mentorship opportunities.
Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Healthcare with Dr. Rosalind Picard
Q: What are the core risks of integrating AI into clinical practice?
Key risks include bias in training data, misalignment of explanations with internal reasoning, potential over-reliance by clinicians, and the possibility of causing greater harm in 2-4% of cases even when overall accuracy appears high.
