Exploration in the ideas of self and being.
This really is gripping!!!
Atmospheric and haunting, this show takes a peek into a future not all that far from our own and doesn’t flinch when the future looks back.
Solid writing, took a little time to to find the right balance with some interactions. But landed pretty well in the end.
The reviewer who thinks characters are the "wrong" gender could learn a thing or two about trans people.
I enjoyed
This is the first time I have felt inspired to write a review of a podcast. This was a very fun and engaging podcast from a new group of creators. They do a great job with slim resources. I look forward to listen to whatever they do next.

Amazing story and storytelling. The flow of information is perfect and intriguing. Makes you think and also isn’t immediately predictable. I’d love more of this or like it.
Just binged this over the last two days and it low-key devastated me 🥹 Kudos to the creators and actors behind this—amazing work for such a small group of people!
Took awhile for the story to get somewhere, and even then, was never quite clear of the stakes or objective. The volume of people and static was unbalanced and a little painful at times.
So good! I was hooked from the very beginning. This is everything a good science fiction story should be; poignant and relevant. The science is well researched, the characters are well rounded, the dialogue is delivered in such a natural way, the plot is well paced, the end of each episode makes me want to listen to the next one – in fact, I binged the whole thing in one sitting. This is exactly what I was looking for. An indie drama that engages and leaves a lasting impression. I'll be thinkin... more
They use the phrase “pregnant people” and have a (very obvious) woman voicing a male character. As a gender critical person I just can’t listen anymore. It was great before I realized it was made by a self hating woman.
Queer Sci-Fi Frankenstein retelling, my beloved <33333
Seriously though, this is such a beautiful and thoughtfully-told story, I loved every episode, the cast and crew have done such a knock-out job. Amazing, amazing work <33
I really love the story here, it’s very engaging to be finding things out along with the main character. The sci-fi/tech elements are woven into the normal experience of this person in the future in a very believable and compelling way and her stream of consciousness way of talking is actually very relatable. I can’t wait to finish this and move on to another Hanging Sloth show!
An amazing and original sci-fi horror story told in a very amiable, creative way ... I honestly think that the only way I could enjoy Hanging Sloth’s podcasts MORE is if I had an actual, REAL AUTHENTIC spirit box, that played all their episodes supernaturally. That would be groovy.
