Why nature isn’t “other” it’s “mother”, with Paul Hawken
Q: So, Paul, when you see numbers that are coming out, like 80% of people around the world care about climate change, do you think that we've kind of missed the target or misdiagnosed the problem?
I don't find those numbers impressive or directly predictive of action; caring is natural in humans, but action requires addressing upstream causes and reframing the narrative, not simply hoping awareness translates into behavior. Real progress comes from aligning with the Earth's own rhythms and focusing on systemic change rather than mere concern.
How to wayfind without a map, with Katharine K. Wilkinson
Q: Is this journey a constant evolution, or did a particular moment crystallize your thinking?
She explains that the process has evolved through practice, collaboration, and learning from diverse communities, culminating in a cohesive set of tools and a visioning horizon.
How to wayfind without a map, with Katharine K. Wilkinson
Q: How did you figure this out, and has it always been this way for you?
Wilkinson describes a long trajectory—from personal exploration to building a framework that helps people move from feeling stuck to taking action, emphasizing the evolution of her approach over time.
How to close climate loopholes – in court, with Tessa Khan
Q: How have the tactics of the opposition changed over time?
The guest explains that while tactics have varied by country, the fossil fuel industry has consistently funded think tanks, lobbied politicians and journalists, and invested in trying to blur scientific consensus through narrative control and social media influence, emphasizing the need for diverse, proactive strategies to counter these efforts.
Why climate action is a combat sport, with Laurence Tubiana
Q: What advice do you have for people who are feeling like they don't know what to do right now?
We need to be self-critical and recognize we should talk to people about the values, imagination, and emotions involved in climate action.
