  • Need specifics.

Love the CC curriculum. My main issue is with the widespread info available I still can’t find anyone talking about an actual schedule…. Lotsa info on topics, overviews so forth…. I’m looking to start my daughter in CC next fall. Still looking for examples of a weekly/daily schedule of some sort.

  • Love to Learn

I am a 8yr homeschool CC mom. I have directed 6 years. I have loved being reminded of where we were and where we are going in CC. The series on what’s next is perfect . I would have loved these as I was moving up. Keep doing it! I can not wait until you get to Challenge IV.

What Every Homeschool Mom Needs to Hear with Abbey Wedgeworth
Q: But what was the time that you realized that your soul needed as much prep work as your classroom?
Abbey explains that true transformation begins with aligning the heart with the gospel, recognizing that preparation isn't just about lesson plans but about spiritual formation—seeing that God must be the reference point, and that weakness is an opportunity for grace.
Help for Reluctant Readers - A Homeschool Mom's Guide
Q: What advice would you give to a mother of a reluctant reader?
She advises starting with daily read-aloud time, ensuring books are interesting, and gradually increasing exposure to a range of reading materials; also highlights the importance of not forcing a single type of reading and using a mix of guided, shared, and independent reading complemented by understanding and enjoying the process rather than counting pages.
Help for Reluctant Readers - A Homeschool Mom's Guide
Q: How did you fall in love with reading, and how did that influence your approach with your own children?
Chelly shares that reading was always a part of her life and that she gradually learned to love it by surrounding herself with varied reading material and by modeling the practice for her children; she emphasizes reading aloud, choosing diverse formats, and gradually challenging herself and her children with texts above and below their current level to build fluency and enjoyment.
How to Finish Strong When You Want to Quit Homeschooling
Q: Why is finishing strong such a big deal?
Because the hardest part of any journey defines you and finishing is where you demonstrate perseverance, which builds character and prepares you for future challenges.
Anti-Burnout Memory Master Tips
Q: When did you start proofing, and how do you manage the process with different learners?
Proofing can start around week 20-21, sometimes during Christmas break, with a first and second parent proof. For some learners, especially those who struggle with on-the-spot recall, involve other adults, adjust methods (e.g., no hand motions for one child but use hand motions for another), and spread the workload across weeks to avoid burnout.
