    I loved the spoof!

Sadly not too far off from the ramblings of many sermons I have heard over the years.

It honestly reminds me of a men’s group where you get stuck listen to that one guy who has no self awareness.

  • Thank you!

You are putting into words how I have felt about church ever since being saved over 40 years ago! Shared with my son. What a refreshing podcast to come across! We have a home group as well, where we discuss everything from Bible to history to supernatural entities as well as pray and fellowship.

  • Good stuff

I first heard of Franky V several years ago when someone sent me his 3 Keys to Galatians talk. I had read Barna’s Revolution, so I was excited to see the collaboration in Pagan Christianity and bought a copy. Viola was saying things I thought, felt, and said about the traditional “church”, so it was great to hear another Brother in agreement. The Insurgence podcast is also highly recommended.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#255: Rediscovering the Apostolic Church
Q: Where do we get the notion that God changed Saul's name to Paul?
There's no evidence at all that his name was changed; he had that Roman name before he became a Christian.
#255: Rediscovering the Apostolic Church
Q: Can you give us an example of anything that comes to your mind that is commonly misunderstood by a lot of Christians?
1 Corinthians 7 'it's not good for a man to touch a woman' is often misunderstood; Paul was refuting a slogan that the Corinthians were promoting.
#255: Rediscovering the Apostolic Church
Q: How is your book different from a chronological Bible?
My book takes the pieces that Luke leaves out of his narrative and blends them with information from Paul's letters to give you a complete unfolding of the story.
#254: A Bombshell Dropped on the New Testament Playground
Q: What are some of the things in your opinion that hinder us from understanding the New Testament?
One of them is the Gospel and their arrangement... and the widespread ignorance of first century Mediterranean cultural context.
#254: A Bombshell Dropped on the New Testament Playground
Q: What's the biggest problem we face in reading the New Testament today that you addressed in the book?
It really comes down to not knowing the story, the narrative, how the Book of Acts, how the Gospels, and how the Epistles all fit together.
