  • Excellent and well-researched

Phenomenal podcast with well-researched and timely information. It’s clear the team put in a lot of work into this and it’s not another generic and undifferentiated China content.

  • Good, Reliable Information in a World of Useless Content

Terri Wu and the Epoch Times team produce an excellent podcast that is not flashy with cultural news stories, but instead meaningful and important insights about China’s influence on the US and the world around as. She shares credible and unique information with a charming flare that I will adoringly refer to as “ethnic Americana.”

If you are mature enough to be interested in news and information that are important, significant, and meaningful, give China Watch a try.

  • Unvarnished truth about China

Few media outlets are willing to take on the tough subjects when it comes to China. Chinese tentacles reach around the world and the CCP often retaliates harshly against those entities that don’t toe the line.

This podcast is bold and honest. Terry Woo will teach you a great deal about various subjects that involve China.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why a Once-Taboo Topic on China Is Now a US Bestseller
Q: Why did you choose to present this as a book rather than ongoing reporting or a documentary?
A book allows layering of deep context, multiple sources, and a coherent narrative over time, making it possible to organize complex evidence and provide an actionable, readable guide for readers to engage and advocate.
Why a Once-Taboo Topic on China Is Now a US Bestseller
Q: Can you tell me your personal experience and how you came to write about this issue?
I was exposed to compelling evidence in the mid-2000s, including whistleblower testimonies, which shifted my understanding and motivated me to document and explain the issue in a way accessible to a broad audience through a book.
Learning Machines or Machine Learning? How Education Shapes the U.S.–China Tech Race
Q: What differences did you notice when switching from a teacher-centered to a student-centered classroom?
In the U.S., classrooms encouraged dialogue and questioning, which fostered internal reasoning and exploring multiple options, whereas in China, students were conditioned to accept the teacher's authority and prioritize predefined problem-solving methods.
When China’s Growth Deflates to Zero—What It Means for the US
Q: What signs should we look for to know that China's economy has stopped growing?
Experts suggest that official data will become less reliable and that there will be hidden stagnation beyond reported growth, with the government gradually admitting slower momentum only after it has masked the decline for some time.
Is the Iran War All About China?
Q: Would you say somehow in the background, there's a shadow fight between US and China in some way?
The guest suggests that while China might not be the sole driver, the U.S. has many more reasons to engage due to China's angle, and that after Iran the focus could shift to other theaters like Cuba or even the Mexican cartels, indicating a broad, latent strategic contest rather than a single battleground.
