Hi there! Javi here, and no, I don't have a new episode of Children of Tendu - Jose and I are still figuring out the state of the business post pandemic, post strike, post streaming - but in the meantime, why not sample my latest endeavor: Multiplex ... more

Jose and Javi give a lot of really good, real-world advice leavened with a good amount of humor. The best thing I can say about this show, as a 52-year old novelist who is probably never going to write for TV, is that if I’d been able to listen to this stuff when I was a young man about to graduate from high school, it would have changed the course of my life, and I probably would have moved to LA to try to make a go of writing for television.
Anyone who wants to become a TV/Movie writer shou... more
I was driving from LA to AZ listening to screenwriting podcasts when this blast from the past popped into my radio… only it was fresh from the WGA picket lines of 2023! Hadn’t heard from you guys since 2021. Welcome back! I never missed your previous shows and sure won’t now. You made me smart about the TV industry then…I started writing pilots. So now I will be listening as you teach us how to navigate this the new landscape.
The episodes on show running laws and their pitching are ones I return to often.
Hi Jose- remember when you tried to dunk on me on Twitter for saying that showrunners are thin skinned control freak psychos? Why did it take you so long to acknowledge that your boss Joss Whedon is a control freak abusive psycho? Very brave to wait 20 years to come forward with your story, careerist clown!
This is one of my favourite podcasts, the advice is so spot on, the guys are a funny and probably a bit geeky like me. They’re super relatable and passionate. The inside snippets of relationships between producers, writers, show runners etc are gold. Tenduvians deserve more Tendu in 2020! Please!! :)
