Affairs are prevalent but rarely talked about relationships. The podcast, Cheating: When Love Lies, is a deep dive into the complex emotions surrounding these secret unions. Creator and host, Jillian Hamilton, delves into this taboo topic and asks the hard questions about affairs: how common are they, who's having them, and why? These questions illicit unexpected answers that reveal both men and women as people actively seeking something - validation, escape, understanding, vengeance, thrill, love, sex, and romance - outside of marriage or committed partnerships. Cheating: When Love Lies resists the condemnation of affairs as uniquely wrong or bad and instead considers their usefulness in learning as much about relationships as we learn about our ourselves. On the podcast, Jillian Hamilton narrates short fictional stories about cheating based on true life events. The narration is followed by a roundtable discussion with everyday people who share their unique perspectives. Jillian also ... more

  • Host is RUDE

This would be a good podcast if the host would shut up and let the guest speak. She interrupts them in the middle of the question. She just previously asked to ask them another question. She seems very judge mental and is overall ANNOYING. more

  • Could be great.

Wow. Great stories that are overshadowed by a judgy, overly opinionated host. Don’t care about what YOU think and how YOU feel about THEIR experience and story. “I respect that…” “I don’t agree” and condescending remarks. your view is not fact, no one needs to hear it. Not your place for input, especially since it is unwarranted.

  • Omg Let Them Speak!

This is such an amazing idea and I love the content but I cannot even finish the ep because the host will not let the guests even finish the answer before she interrupts with another question. I really want to hear what they were going to say but just cut off every time. It’s her show so she can do whatever interview style she likes but it’s bad and I can’t listen anymore

  • It’s so direct! Love it

I am so drawn into the hosts interrogative style! She’s so blunt and straight to the point— goes right for the truth. Instead of letting the guest dance around the truth, or making us read between the lines—she gets right to the point! more
