  • Helpful analysis untainted by propaganda

Even ideas he disagrees with are explained in a way that the proponents of those ideas would approve of because he depicts the positions accurately. Rare. The occasional misrepresentation seems to be from a misreading rather than bad will. This guy is instructive, interesting and good for my blood pressure. Unfortunately, this approach is not likely to get thousands of partisans following him.

  • My favorite podcast on current events, politics, and news

I am so glad to have found this podcast. I appreciate Alex’s voice and his centrist views. He takes a more nuanced approach to what is happening in the world today than most of the mainstream media does. We need more conversations like this, with views and opinions given in a kind and informed way. The length is great too, just enough info to really take it all in.

  • A little bit for everyone

A little right, a little level, fully rational. I think Alex adds a lot to just trying to understand the craziness. He’s definitely biased against the trump movement, but he is right about the threat.

  • A refreshing take on divisive topics

With how tribal and partisan our nation’s politics have become, it is nice to hear a perspective that wants to listen but also be critical. There’s a little bit of everything here and it is refreshing. We need to get back to a time where we can listen to differing opinions while still being able to be respectful.
