  • No show. What a surprise.

Worst posting schedule in the history of podcasts. And it seems to get worse and worse.

  • Disrespect NC State Ice Pack

The next time you decide to make fun of a club level hockey team you might wanna think about it You put predictions out there. 9 to 2. Seven to one.? I believe that that’s what you had in your podcast.

The NC State Ice Pack are a worthy opponent. I think maybe next time you should give them the respect they deserve when make predictions.

I do like your podcast a lot. I am a Carolina hurricane Fan. I was an NC State fan before I was a hurricanes fan.

Who won the game again? That’s right NC... more

  • Neglected

Mike and Shane are homers. The Hurricanes can do no wrong according to these two. The Canes fans apparently don’t know anything, it would seem. Once Mike and Shane start answering listener questions, the show becomes unworthy of listening as they answer every insufferable question. For real Hurricanes insider information, listen to Canes Corner and/or Adam Gold’s podcasts.

  • Love the show but a suggestion

Hey great show for hard core fans. Just a suggestion though- I get that people on the internet vent frustration and freak out on the team. Sometimes I think it’s real, other times I think they are just trying to humorous. Sometimes I agree it is down right mean. But here’s the suggestion: My personal take is that sometimes you’re venting your frustration too on the fans. If you’re going to defend a position such as “every player is going to go through a slump” please do so more consistently in a... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 323: About That Brotherly Love Thing
Q: Would you rather have the time between series or keep the rhythm by playing?
Daniels emphasizes that rest is valuable for healing, but the coaching staff prioritizes proper practice to stay sharp; the final call depends on player health and the matchup, with a preference for balancing rest and readiness.
Episode 318: One Game After Another
Q: How are players selected for the shootout?
Real time. It goes back to coach's gut, coach's feeling, what they've seen, because they do practice it in practice.
Episode 318: One Game After Another
Q: Is there a possible downside to it?
The only downside of the Olympics for me is if any of your players who are playing in the Olympics get hurt.
Episode 316: Second Half Kickoff
Q: Does Jacob Slavin's Olympic participation bother the Canes since he hasn't played much for the team?
No, the team is proud to have him represent at the Olympics and is excited for him, despite wanting him back on the ice.
Episode 316: Second Half Kickoff
Q: How do players on injured reserve participate during the season?
Injured players usually stay back for treatment but are encouraged to attend games and support their team.
