This my first podcast review ever and I can’t wait for the next episode to drop. Thanks to a beguiling mix of social history and personal family stories I tore through the first episodes in one go. I’m making the pineapple pie tonight

  • Came for the nostalgia, stayed for the amazing (hi)stories.

I recognised the Women’s Weekly cake book image in a second and listened to an episode for the nostalgia. I listened to more episodes which are all beautifully crafted. The history and storytelling is so well done, particularly the hard stories from Cherbourg(?).

  • Delightful podcast about Qld food culture

This is fun to listen to and learn something along the way about Queensland’s food heritage. As someone who owns two of Miss Amy Schauer’s books, I’m all for solving the mysteries of how Qld’s food culture has evolved.
