  • Great podcast, great people!

Dave is a local coffee hero and Rosso has been massive in my life as a barista. Dave dives head first into this project with some of the biggest names in the industry and does an amazing job with his guests. I only wonder if Dave actually can finish his drip while it’s warm or if he still finds his cold coffee laying around and drinks it hours later like he used to!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

61. Inside Ethiopia’s Most Expensive Coffee Ever | Alo Coffee’s Tamiru Tadesse
Q: What advice do you have for young, upcoming coffee producers that maybe want to be like you one day?
Focus on the quality, because that's the gap in the Ethiopian industry. It's essential to build trust and ensure that you deliver what you promise to buyers.
61. Inside Ethiopia’s Most Expensive Coffee Ever | Alo Coffee’s Tamiru Tadesse
Q: Tell me about your auction. How did it go?
We set an Ethiopian record for the highest price ever paid for coffee at $1,739 per kilogram.
59. The Barista Champion Who’s Challenging Caffeine Itself with Pete Licata
Q: When would you recommend a cutoff caffeine intake?
For fully caffeinated coffee, I think that 2 p.m. is a good cut off, giving about 8 hours before sleep.
59. The Barista Champion Who’s Challenging Caffeine Itself with Pete Licata
Q: What do you say to the people that say death before decaf?
I think it's an antiquated way of thinking about it. It's not very self-conscious or cognizant of what the drug is and how it works.
58. Behind the Scenes of the World’s Rarest Coffee with Cole Torode of Forward Coffee
Q: How do you add value to coffee producers?
I connect buyers to farmers and advocate for their products without them needing to engage in the complex market processes.
