I've read the book, but I understand that the show is inspired by it, not a direct interpretation.I loved the show and was hoping to hear a podcast that celebrated it. I feel they constantly compared the book to the show, and complained way too much about the differences. I quit listening at episode 4 when they said Colin didn't smile and he and Pen didn't laugh. She must have missed episode 2 where they giggled throughout the ball. Or when they laugh in the carriage.
I am having fun listening to your predictions as you watch each episode. I binged the entire season and listened to your podcast after having viewed more than once, watched “making of” videos, listened to interviews, etc. This made listening to your thoughts even more fun. I love the mixture of books (I haven’t read them) and current episodes and predictions based on both. As a fellow book reader this podcast is great! I really enjoy how the hosts include some comparing between the show and the books. I can’t help thinking about those things as I watch each episode so I really enjoy that being included in this podcast.
Love the excitement but it’s almost like the hosts are trying so hard to have a hot take that they aren’t paying attention to the very obvious things happening in the show or able to comprehend that certain decisions are made to push main parts of the story line.
