  • Good content but poor audio quality

Interesting conversation with Jane Friedman, but the audio quality was so poor I found it unlistenable. There was a huge difference in volume between Jane (quiet) and the host (very loud). I tried turning it up and down between speakers but this was untenable.

  • I'm several episodes in and I am really enjoying this podcast. Jay is a phenomenal storyteller who uses many mediums to entertain. I've enjoyed his vlogs (on YouTube) for awhile and recently read his non-fiction book, Sea of the Unknown. In this podcast he brings together a talented team to lay the foundation of a media empire. His guests are knowledgeable and engaging. It's like hanging out with friends (if your friends were Walt Disney, George Lucas and Peter Jackson)!

  • Great interviews and an interesting publishing project

Each episode of Building the Oracle features an in depth interview with a writer, or some other creative entrepreneur. These interviews tend to focus on the business side of being a creative, but take time to explore lots of interesting side issues relevant to the guest at hand, such as working as an expat, or building a creative career while managing a chronic illness.

What makes this podcast different to a lot of other interview shows out there is that they are in the process of building the... more

  • Engaging and

I discovered this podcast through Jay’s Paris vlogs, and despite not being a sci-fi fantasy reader, was curious. I’m so impressed with the quality of the interviews (and sound). I’m hooked! Looking forward to listening to your journey as your publishing and film dreams come true.
