  • Funny!

I’m sure Ross spends his spare time on his (virtual) grand piano!!🤣 But it’s a much better background than his refrigerator!

On a more serious note… it would be great if he could use whatever technology necessary to illustrate what he is discussing in the moment (like Joel Klatt does when he’s explaining offensive/defensive schemes). Instead, he has the static yellow arrows already drawn, and the players are so far away you can’t tell who is doing what. Draw it out in the moment as it’s happen... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ohio State Football Insider: Is Arthur Smith Going To Turn Up The Tempo?
Q: We've got to talk about tempo; how is Ohio State expected to deploy tempo packages this spring and beyond?
Tony explained that tempo packages will vary in tempo and that the staff wants options on the table, with intentions to implement what works best for the team depending on personnel and game situation.
Ohio State Spring Football: First Impressions Of New Wide Receivers
Q: Have you been asked to run more, and what's going on with that mental side of deciding when to run?
Sayin talks about intentionally building the ability to run more, working on it in the off-season, and maintaining an internal clock to know when to pull the ball down, while still prioritizing progress in pocket mechanics and decision-making.
Ohio State Football: How Can The Buckeyes Improve On Defense In 2026?
Q: If Ryan Day was asked to address a potential executive order at the White House, what would he want to see tackled first?
He would emphasize the need to fix the underlying structure and enforcement of rules in college football to prevent patches from becoming permanent fixes, and to preserve the integrity of the sport before tackling other reforms or debates.
Ohio State Spring Football: What's The Plan For The Offensive Line?
Q: The offensive line has been another storyline we've been talking about a bunch going into the spring. Are they looking at shuffling guys around to some different spots and sort of mixing and matching and seeing what they have and some potential combinations there this spring and trying guys out to tackle and guard, something like that?
Yes, there will be a lot of interchange and experimentation to find the best five, with some players moving between tackle, guard, and center as needed to maximize depth and performance.
Ohio State Spring Football: Will Julian Sayin Run More In 2026?
Q: How is the coaching staff influencing Sayin's development this spring?
The discussion notes a continuing evolution with a new offensive coordinator, yet highlights that Sayin has experience adapting to three different OC styles; Matt Patricia is described as actively engaging Sayin and other quarterbacks to teach decision-making and situational awareness, suggesting a hands-on mentorship approach.
