The host Eirik is also a good dude all around and is down to earth compared to 90% of the folk in the online Norse studies world. I love every episode of this podcast. It is stands out from the typical fare in the history and culture genre. Not only is the host clever and well-informed, but he also speaks with a clarity and authority that reflects the depth of his connection to and experience with the particular subject. The result is a style that is authentic, funny, academic and at the same time totally human, i.e., relatable.
