Be a nice Sunday afternoon magazine show. Now so politically one-sided, shrill, and unobjective, it’s actually painful to listen to. Can the BBC not just make magazine programs about daily life in the UK, a bit of history, and not keep banging the one-sided political drum.
Sunday June 18th 2023 was a definite miss.
Paddy O’Connell really it’s just a nasty Tory Government mouthpiece and a Brexit dumbass.
This programme is so much better with Jane Garvey presenting! So nice to have a break from Paddy O’Connell’s sense of humour, which is generally outdated and spiteful. I like to tune in for a Sunday analysis of the day’s news but have started to dread his jokes - cheap laughs at someone else’s expense (normally a woman). By contrast Jane is sophisticated, clever and naturally witty. I hope they replace Paddy with Jane, or at least tell him to stop trying to be funny and stick to the news.
2 much for me it makes me sad 😭🤧😭🤧
