I was too old to be into the DCOMs when they first came out- but I’ve been catching up the last few years watching with my 9 year old daughter. I’ve been confused / laughing/ loving them as we’ve gone through the catalog- starting with Zombies and now on repeat with High School Musical. I wanted to laugh about their absurdity with someone and then I found you guys! Hilarious banter and LOL funny.
You guys are the best.
I watched the early DCOMs with my son; we loved Brink!, Smart House, and Xenon (very different than Xena: Warrior Princess, another of our big favorites). I’ve been having a great time reliving his childhood (more or less through Bran) paired with Erin’s love of musicals, and Dan’s not-always begrudging sometimes enjoyment makes my Friday commutes. The only thing that could make this podcast better was if our hosts could extend the run of DCOM-adjacent movies they review.
The best DCOM podcast. Brings back sweet memories of watching DCOMs with the kids I babysat in the early 2000s.

A nostalgic, banter-forward look at Disney Channel Original Movies, hosted by three friends with fresh perspectives: Brandon Gray and Erin bring longtime fandom and behind-the-scenes context, while Daniel (a first-time viewer) offers a newer take on each film. Episodes balance plot recap, character dynamics, and production trivia with playful debates, fan theories, and personal anecdotes, creating a lively space for fans of the DCOM era and long-running nostalgia culture. The show consistently leans into ensemble chemistry, cross-references within the DCOM universe, and a celebratory yet critical lens on how these movies age over time. A notable hook is Daniel's first-time perspective, giving listeners a sense of rediscovery alongside veter... more
