Amazing podcast, Dom and Yan really do their research and know their stuff. As someone who is wanting to learn more about the bands I listen to daily (and have been listening to for years now), this podcast is exactly what I’ve been missing in life! Can’t get enough!

  • Much needed Metal Podcast

This was amazing to listen to. I opened up for Float Fave Down, Aegeon, & My Bitter End & TLTSOL on that tour , must’ve been like 2012. Ron was the scariest guy I’d ever seen, but was so nice. He had lost his voice the show before, their backtracks wouldn’t work, and man when I tell you they STILL absolutely crushed it. One of the best times of my life .

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

THE RED CHORD (GUY KOZOWYK) | Early Demo Lore, AOL Messenger Booking & The Invention of Deathcore
Q: Guy, who invented Deathcore?
Guy suggests that while many bands contributed to the early development, Deathcore was a blend that emerged from multiple roots, with bands like Dying Fetus and internal combinations of death metal and hardcore being influential; he emphasizes the collective shaping of the sound rather than a single inventor.
MATT MCGACHY (CRYPTOPSY) | Death Metal Drama, Deathcore Allegations & 30 Years of None So Vile
Q: What's your hangover cure?
Moderation is key, supplemented by water, rest, and sensible food; long-term balance has been the most sustainable approach, especially after years of heavy touring.
NEKROPISSER | DAMIAN BROWN: Roblox Shows, Slam Lyrics & Going Viral at 13 Years Old
Q: How did you get into Roblox shows and what are they like?
Roblox shows work via a Discord server where music is streamed as pre-recorded tracks, and band members perform on a Discord stage while fans mosh and interact in chat; it's a novel, virtual way to perform and reach audiences.
CASEY CARRANO (DR ACULA, SLAM SLABS) | Anime, Victory Records & Taco Bell Fights | EP 118
Q: How was it like revisiting those songs?
It was awesome because we had a sweet practice space and we could all jam together again.
CASEY CARRANO (DR ACULA, SLAM SLABS) | Anime, Victory Records & Taco Bell Fights | EP 118
Q: What kind of got you into music?
I was always in a garage band when I was 10, screaming like an animal because of my brother's influence from hardcore and death metal.
