Bootlegging: A Boardwalk Empire Podcast

Very disappointed in the content. The hosts show very little knowledge of history. Act like teenage girls when someone says a bad word or a term they find offensive; despite the fact that this show is a timepiece. The giggling and laughing about every mundane aspect of the show. Legitimately had to stop before the third episode completed. Looking for a real, insightful look into the show and not the blathering of 13 year old girls.

I did not tune into the Boardwalk Empire Podcast for ANY Game of Thrones news or opinions! There is really no connection between the 2 other than HBO.

Seems like a cool pair of dudes but they never know any characters names or what happened in any given scene- research nonexistent

Still overall a fun listen. If you’re a serial re-watcher of boardwalk, you will be annoyed by how much they miss. Love the beer talks and random historical tidbits.

It’s crazy how little these dudes remember from the show they are reviewing. Incredibly dumb guys but seem well meaning.

Two lame hosts, one great show...do better.

I like how they pounce on subtle hints. However, they miss a lot. I’m from New Jersey and I find myself talking back to the podcast correcting their “research.” BTW: the last episode of season 3 is MarGATE, not Margaret.

This has been my favorite podcast I’ve heard in awhile. It’s 2 good friends having a good time. I’ve laughed out loud at the banter and jokes on the show. Being a fan of the show it was a pleasure to listen to. If you want to laugh and be engaged in trivia on the show and many other things, or just listen to some crazy off topic rabbit holes then give this a listen. 10/10

I enjoyed this podcast at first, but after a while I couldn't continue. There's a lot of biases in play that made it hard to listen to. Example: not liking a female character because she cheats on her husband, but does not extend the same attitude towards the husband when he does the same?

I was searching for a podcast to listen to for breakdowns each episode of the show. I literally could not even take it anymore when they didn’t even know the timeline of events. They even admitted to not having any notes for a “free open discussion” when discussing the beginning of season 5. They often don’t even start talking about the episode until 15 min in. If you’re going to have a 60+ min podcast at least make every minute count, and slow down your speaking so you’re not saying “umm” and “... more

Started my 2nd rewatch of the show a few weeks ago. I was curious to see if there was any “Boardwalk Empire” podcasts out there and low and behold I stumbled upon this one. These guys are hilarious and do a fantastic job reviewing each episode with interesting tidbits and unique takes. If you’re in anyway a fan of the show, you need to check this pod out!

I’m listening alongside my first rewatch since the series ended, and have enjoyed the show. Can’t stop calling him “Maserati” in my head now.

First time watching Boardwalk, and althoughin this podcast they say that they don't mean to spoil it for newbies, they do. By saying "<Character> plays a huge role in season 4" - THAT'S A SPOILER! It means he won't die in Season 2 or 3. Also, it's riddled with "basically" this and "basically" that. That's a peeve of mine, so it's on me. A few minor gripes; otherwsie, it's a good show. (My listening goes up to season 2, ep 10)
