In a rugged corner of West Texas, billionaire wildcatters and roughnecks are fueling an oil boom so big it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics. This modern-day gold rush has sent both big oil companies and scrappy start-ups scrambling to secure a piece of the action. Texas Monthly’s Christian Wallace follows characters along every rung of the oil field ladder, from the execut... more

I came to this podcast from Taylor Sheridan show, Landman. The podcast is exponentially better than the TV show. Christian strikes a hard to achieve balance of objectivity and empathy while telling a well researched and compelling story. If the television program would have even tried to retain a fraction of the objectivity and empathy this podcast was produced with it would be one of the best shows running. Sheridan should let Wallace edit his scripts on future seasons.
I've never written a feedback. BUT:

I’m in the industry. This podcast had potential, but it’s a distorted narrative tilted towards Leftist talking points. Watch Landman, but ignore this nonsense.
You talk about all the good part of being in west Texas but you’re interviewing people that hate what we do in Texas. If you don’t like our state for what we do, then leave the state. Go to a democrat state.
That’s it. That’s the review.
