As a book reader, I enjoy this podcast immensely. Trey is an excellent host and interviewer; he knows how to let the guest speak and share their views
I highly recommend this podcast and I’m now a frequent listener. Great job and five stars.
This podcast provides a richer context for the books I’ve read. Really great and deep discussions without being pretentious. Really well done
If you are into non-fiction books, this podcast is a cool, insightful and fun way to discover new works and authors, or rediscover old ones (I so enjoyed a recent episode with Oliver Stone). From big pharma to brains to the cosmos to amazing power of the sea, Trey covers a broad range of topics in an engaging way and hearing the authors explain their ideas, motivations etc is a real treat. Catch an episode with an author or topic of interest and chances are you'll be back for more.
I just discovered this pod and glad I did. Fascinating how EVIL the Sacklers are and the phrase “ The man who drugged the WORLD”
Popped into my head when Gerald Posner told us about how Arthur Sackler made Valium the #1 drug for a record 15 yrs with deceptive marketing. Now to explore more episodes 👍👍
Trey is a master of interviews and has a knack for sourcing incredibly good content. I listened to him often on his Austin sports radio show and was always very impressed with his interviews and who he was able to bring on the show. He’s well prepared and asks really good questions on the fly. I can sense from the interviewees that they’re impressed with his questions. It’s absolutely worth giving it a shot.
Trey’s the best. Long time listener to his radio shows. Trey makes these interviews super compelling to listen to.
Trey is great at interviewing anybody because he does his homework. The interviews are entertaining, insightful and amusing.
Trey does the work to make this an enjoyable interview for all. Made me excited to start reading the book! Will check out the others!
Trey excels at egoless interviewing. Clean, concise, smart questions that allow the authors to highlight their intent and real thoughts absent Elling injecting any agenda. This is substantive, meaningful conversation at its best.

Trey is the best interviewer I’ve every heard. The interviews are really really good. He asks hard, informative and leading questions during the interviews. I think all of the people being interviewed are impressed by his questions. The podcast always lead me to a new book to read.
I listened to five episodes and my penis gained 1.25 inches! I highly recommend this podcast!

I heard about this podcast through Twitter, and while I'm admittedly not one to read nonfiction this podcast got me hooked, pulling in some of my favorite writers and directors to give excellent tips I plan on using. The Sonnenfeld episode stunned me with the darkness and hilarity of some of those stories, and left me feeling happy I saw this show advertised. This is definitely a recommendation for anyone interested in books, sports, health, money, cooking, and just good interviews: Give this sh... more
