I discovered this podcast shortly after finishing Onyx Storm, when I desperately needed help processing everything I’d just read. Then I noticed all the Throne of Glass coverage and decided to read along as a first-time reader as well. I’ve only recently returned to reading fantasy, beginning with the Empyrean series—which left me battling one of the most intense book hangovers of my life.
Once I started Throne of Glass, I listened to every episode of this podcast, and it’s helped me catch deta... more
I found this podcast partway through my read of the TOG series and I’ll be honest I don’t know if I would have stayed with the series without them. I feel like they really help explain, connect and deep dive on things that I miss or rush through because I don’t love SJM’s writing style. They’re also just so fun!!!! It feels like I have book club every time I get in the car.
I started listening to your podcast when I started Heir of Fire and I really enjoy the in depth summaries and analyses. I’ve only listened to 3 episodes but do you guys think you could add a note of what time your summary and analysis starts? I was just listening to Heir of Fire ch 15-33 and it took until 12:00 to finally get into the summary. Maybe you guys have already made this adjustment and I just haven’t listened to enough episodes yet! Thank you!
I love y’all! I found you when I was reading Throne of Glass, and you happened to be on the same book as me and I was so excited! I love the deep dive and details I missed!
I had dad the first few books a couple of years ago and wasn’t loving, but liking. Decided to keep reading, but I needed a refresher on who everyone was so glad I stumbled upon this podcast. I now can’t read chapters without listening immediately after. Thanks to your work on this!
