  • everything a girl needs in a podcast

I started reading Throne of Glass in June and found your podcast shortly after. I work stupidly boring 10 hour days at a desk job and I’ve only recently started listening to podcasts while I work. My brain truly lacks the ability to analyse books the way some people can so listening to these episodes while I read ahead has been AMAZING. I’m just about to finish Kingdom of Ash and I’m constantly impressed by your analysis and how many theories you’ve guessed right, or not far off… ;) I can’t wait... more

  • Absolutely LOVE

Love this podcast! Found Booked On Fantasy after reading the Empyrean Series. I love the podcasters insight into the chapters and the light heartedness that goes into the summaries. They have made me laugh out loud with their quipy one liners. Reading more books they’ve reviewed just to keep up with this podcast!

  • Amazing!

I discovered this podcast shortly after finishing Onyx Storm, when I desperately needed help processing everything I’d just read. Then I noticed all the Throne of Glass coverage and decided to read along as a first-time reader as well. I’ve only recently returned to reading fantasy, beginning with the Empyrean series—which left me battling one of the most intense book hangovers of my life.

Once I started Throne of Glass, I listened to every episode of this podcast, and it’s helped me catch deta... more

  • So good!!

I found this podcast partway through my read of the TOG series and I’ll be honest I don’t know if I would have stayed with the series without them. I feel like they really help explain, connect and deep dive on things that I miss or rush through because I don’t love SJM’s writing style. They’re also just so fun!!!! It feels like I have book club every time I get in the car.

  • Only one suggestion

I started listening to your podcast when I started Heir of Fire and I really enjoy the in depth summaries and analyses. I’ve only listened to 3 episodes but do you guys think you could add a note of what time your summary and analysis starts? I was just listening to Heir of Fire ch 15-33 and it took until 12:00 to finally get into the summary. Maybe you guys have already made this adjustment and I just haven’t listened to enough episodes yet! Thank you!

I don't think Aelin would leave innocent people to suffer, especially out of fear; she would likely have acted in a way to protect them at the last moment.

Q: Why does the wizard want to eliminate all the animals?
I actually don't know. I don't really remember that either.
Wicked Movie Part One | Review & Reaction
Q: So who do you think wrote the mean words on Dr. Dillaman's blackboard?
I think it was somebody either related to Madame Morrible or even The Wizard, because they're really the only people that had any incentive to be trying to get rid of the animals.
Heir of Fire: Ch 36-39 Review & Analysis | Free Beer, Free Spidersilk, & Free Tattoo Therapy
Q: Why is Aelin so afraid to face her birthright and take back her kingdom?
